Carolyn holds a Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi. Carolyn’s experience includes counseling children and adolescents utilizing both indirect and direct play therapy skills and techniques with Delta State University’s Play Therapy Training Institute and individual and group addiction counseling services to young adults and adults struggling with addiction and their families with The Oxford Centre.

Carolyn is currently working toward obtaining licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor under the supervision of Dean Worsham, while working with The Oxford Counseling Center. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, CCTP. Carolyin is also working toward certification as a Certified Clinical Trauma Therapist. Her clinical interests include untreated psychological trauma, depression, anxiety, unresolved family of origin issues, and adjustment difficulties.

Carolyn states, “It is my goal as a Counselor to offer a safe, judgment-free environment where clients may explore the challenges keeping them from living the life that they truly desire. I have walked a personal journey toward self-discovery, self-empowerment, growth, and healing, and it is my greatest desire to walk alongside others as they do the same. “

Carolyn lives in the Oxford area with her husband, teenage son, and their two dogs, Miley and Bucky. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, outdoor activities, SEC Football, and all the wonderful activities the city of Oxford has to offer.
