My name is Ben Stepp, and I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and recent graduate of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at The University of Mississippi.  I work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds but have done a great deal of work with veterans in particular, as I am Veteran of the United States Army myself.

I spent twelve of fifteen years of Military Service as an Infantryman and three years as a Flight Operations Specialist.  I have served on two combat tours to Iraq and spent one year on the Demilitarized Zone in South Korea.  I also served the Oxford, Mississippi area as a police officer for The University of Mississippi for six years.

My experiences in life, as well as my time in the military and law enforcement, have helped me connect with people with diverse world views.  I do not see counseling from the perspective of me “fixing” my clients.  I believe that people have what they need to work through their problems but sometimes need the support of a trained professional like myself along the way.
