I am a graduate of Mississippi College and Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Ms with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Counseling. I have been working for over a year at the Center for Marriage and Family Therapy and Counseling in Jackson, Ms where I see clients on a weekly basis. I also interned at Three Oaks Behavioral Health in Ridgeland, Ms. Currently, I am pursuing two types of licensure: LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) and LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist).

I have a passion for people. I believe everyone has innate worth and value, and I love to walk alongside and empower them towards that belief as well. In conjunction with my client-centered therapy style, I utilize a theologically integrated approach which synthesizes my Christian values with secular and nonsecular research based practices in order to give my clients the very best care. I hope my clients see me as someone who is unafraid of the darkest parts of them, someone who meets them where they are with acceptance and support.

In the clinic where I previously worked, I saw a wide range of demographics. I found that I thoroughly enjoy working with teenagers and young adults, families and couples. I have experience in working with those dealing with grief, anxiety, depression, and communication and parenting issues. I have a Level 1 Certification in Gottman Method Couples Training, and I am a Prepare-Enrich Premarital Facilitator.

My husband and I were married last year and are very excited about living in Oxford! We are big tennis players and love having a good time. I enjoy cooking and doing makeup at Amy Head Cosmetics, my part time job! And I love to chat about the enneagram (I’m a 2, if you know what that means!)
